Gender-based discrimination has been prohibited for years under Federal and state law. However, there has been a movement in recent years to expand the scope of these gender-based protections and the reach of administrative agencies, including the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Office of Civil Rights. This CLE will provide an overview of significant legal developments under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Title IX of the Education Amendments, and the New York Human Rights Law. Additionally, counsel from the defense and plaintiff bars will offer their perspective and practical insight on these developments.
