Well-Being Week in Law (WWIL) – May 4 to May 8, 2026

May 4 - May 8
Well-Being in Law Week

We are pleased to recognize Well-Being Week in Law (WWIL), taking place May 4–8, 2026, as part of Mental Health Awareness Month. This annual initiative encourages the legal community to prioritize well-being and to support a culture where professional success includes personal sustainability.

This year’s theme, “Tending Joy,” highlights the important role that positive emotions play in helping us not only manage stress, but thrive in our work and lives. Research shows that cultivating joy can enhance resilience, broaden our thinking, strengthen relationships, and improve collaboration—benefits that extend to both individual well-being and the health of our organizations.

Tending joy does not mean ignoring challenges. Rather, it is about intentionally making space for what energizes and sustains us, even during demanding times. Small, intentional actions—whether connecting with colleagues, taking a break to recharge, or recognizing moments of gratitude—can have a meaningful impact.

WWIL Daily Schedule:
Each day of the week highlights a different dimension of well-being:

  • Monday – Stay Strong
  • Tuesday – Align
  • Wednesday – Engage & Grow
  • Thursday – Connect
  • Friday – Feel Well

These daily themes encourage a holistic approach to well-being throughout the week.

Throughout the week, we encourage you to participate in ways that work for you and your organization. Whether through individual reflection, team activities, or broader initiatives, WWIL offers an opportunity to build habits that support long-term well-being in the legal profession.

Stay tuned for local programming and opportunities to engage with the NDNY-FCBA during the week.

We hope you will join us in taking part and in helping to advance a healthier, more sustainable legal community.
