Law Day is an annual commemoration held on May 1st to celebrate the rule of law and cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal system. The Voices of Democracy Law Day theme encourages Americans to participate in the 2024 elections by deepening their understanding of the electoral process.
Join our panel of distinguished federal and state judges for a discussion about the interplay between state and federal rulings, including the general rules governing that interplay, the N.Y. Court of Appeals' recent answers to Certified Questions of Law from the Second Circuit, and recent decisions of interest from federal district courts in New York State.
