Join the NDNY-FCBA for a practical, foundational CLE designed for attorneys in their first two years of practice and those who do not regularly appear in federal court. This program provides a bird’s-eye view of federal discovery—from the Rule 16 conference and Rule 26 disclosures through written discovery, document production, depositions, discovery disputes, leading to motions for summary judgment.

Magistrate Judges Lovric and Evangelista will offer valuable perspectives from the bench, joined by Assistant Attorney General Amanda Kuryluk and Giovanna D’Orazio of D’Orazio Peterson, who will share practical insights from their litigation experience. The panel will address effective practice techniques, handling confidential materials and in camera reviews, key local NDNY discovery rules, and considerations when litigating cases involving pro se parties.
