Course Description: This informative CLE will discuss the legal landscape surrounding data privacy and cybersecurity including an overview of international, US federal, and state laws. It will cover recent litigation and enforcement actions and conclude with a segment on pending legislation and the future state of US cyber and privacy law. Additionally, the presenters will provide an overview of federal criminal laws related to cybercrime as well as federal law related to the gathering of digital evidence.
