The Northern District of New York Federal Court Bar Association and the Broome County Bar Association are pleased to announce a federal bar Admission Ceremony for New Attorneys on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 1:45 p.m. at the United States Courthouse and Federal Building, 15 Henry Street, First Floor Courtroom, Binghamton, NY. A CLE Program on Federal Court Practice, sponsored by the Broome County Bar Association, will precede the Ceremony.
The CLE Program: “Federal Practice 2013” will be presented at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel (Previously Riverwalk Hotel), One Sarbro Square, 225 Water Street, Binghamton, New York This program will run from 8:55 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with registration and a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. The speakers: Oliver N. Blaise, III, Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP, Seth Eisenberg, J.D., M.B. A. , confidential law clerk to the Honorable Thomas J. McAvoy, U. S. District Court Judge for the Northern District of New York, Maria Lisi-Murray, Esq., Leven Gouldin & Thompson, LLP, Albert J. Millus, Jr., Esq., Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP. NDNY FCBA members have been offered a rate of $70.00 for this program only by the Broome County Bar Association as co-sponsors of the day’s events. NDNY FCBA members must submit the application form attached below to the Broome County Bar Association with payment to register for the “Federal Practice 2013” program.
Broome County CLE Notice and Registration
At 1:45 p.m. the Court will hold an Admission Ceremony to admit attorneys to the bar of the Northern District of New York. The Honorable Thomas J. McAvoy will be presiding. NDNY-FCBA Trustee Paul J. Sweeney will move for admission of all applicants who have been approved by the Court. Alan J. Pope, Pope and Schrader , LLP will be the honored speaker. A reception for all newly admitted attorneys and their guests will immediately follow the Admission Ceremony. Admission applications can be obtained from the Court’s Internet site, http://www.nynd.uscourts.gov/attorney-admissions, or by contacting the Clerk’s Office at (315) 234-8500.
