The New York State- Federal Judicial Council is composed of Federal and State Judges appointed by the Chief Judges of the State of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, assisted by an Advisory Group of judges and practitioners. Currently, the Council’s Chairman is Hon. Mae A. D’Agostino, District Judge of the Northern District of NY.

The mission of the Council is to foster improved communication and cooperation among Federal and State court systems throughout New York by developing and sponsoring joint projects. This has included numerous Continuing Legal Education programs as well as evaluations of various parallel State and Federal programs and the effective sharing of knowledge and resources.
