Crown v. John Peter Zenger (1735) You are invited to a free, public reenactment for all ages of the historic 1735 John Peter Zenger trial. The event will take place at the Federal Courthouse and feature live actors, period costumes and an interactive look at freedom of the press. Watch local students and community members play judges, lawyers, witnesses and jurors as you learn how one printer changed free speech forever. An expert panel discussion on Freedom of the Press and reception will follow. No RSVP is required. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend!
