Learning Objectives: The program will provide practitioners with practical updates on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, artificial intelligence and its impact on criminal practice, federal sentence calculations and custody credit, recent Supreme Court and Second Circuit developments, and emerging issues in immigration defense, including detention, pretrial matters, and motions to dismiss.

This program is live only and will not be available virtually.  Breakfast and lunch are included. There is no fee to attend.

The NDNY-FCBA has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education in the State of New York. “NDNY Federal Criminal Law and Practice Update” has been approved in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board for 3.0 credits in Professional Practice for the AM Program and 3.0 credits in Professional Practice for the PM Program. This program is appropriate for newly admitted and experienced attorneys. This is a two-part program, and sign-in and out will be required for each session.
