Suit Drive for the LawSuits Professional Closet at Albany Law School

The FCBA is collecting gently used women’s & men’s work attire to benefit the LawSuits Professional Closet at Albany Law School. The Closet provides Albany Law School students with new or gently used professional clothing to use during interviews and the initial days of their budding careers. Donations may be dropped off in the Lobby of 30 S. Pearl Street from now until December 12, 2025

This program explores the different types of 1983 cases that can be brought in both state and federal court. The panel will provide a discussion of 1983 cases in general, differences between discovery in state and federal court, distinctions in handling cases filed by incarcerated individuals including the Prisoner Litigation Reform Act, and perspectives and practice tips from the bench and bar.
