Law Day is an annual commemoration held on May 1st to celebrate the rule of law and cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal system. The Voices of Democracy Law Day theme encourages Americans to participate in the 2024 elections by deepening their understanding of the electoral process.
The FCBA First Decade Committee is hosting a friendly Steps Competition throughout Well-Being in Law Week (May 4–May 8). Participants can track their steps and submit screenshots or other documentation of their total steps for the week to the FCBA. The winner—the participant with the most steps—will receive a shout-out on social media and in the next FCBA Newsletter!
In recognition of Well-Being Week in Law (May 4–8, 2026), the FCBA First Decade Committee invites attorneys to join members of the federal judiciary for a lunchtime walk at the courthouse on Monday, May 4. Meet on the steps of the Courthouses in Albany and Syracuse at 12:30 pm for a walk with colleagues and our judges!
